“First Class Friendly Restaurant ”

We have been threatening to visit this restaurant for a number if years on our annual trip to Venice. This year we finally made it. It was full to bursting with locals and some tourists like ourselves, but the customer service was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and despite being extremely busy we were not kept waiting for our food, nor were we ignored. Food was excellent, great value for money. Excellent bottle of prosecco. We were that impressed we went back next day for pizza at lunch. Again it was full of local families, which is always a good recommendation. Will definitely go back again and again. If you are looking for a non tourist restaurant with a local feel, with excellent food and wine at reasonable prices, look no further than this jewel. Lovely part of the city, just around the corner from San Cassiano Church.

“Best in Venice!”

This was by far our best meal in Venice.

The food was delicious. The staff extremely friendly and the outside garden seating area magical and full of atmosphere.

We happened upon it by chance looking for a decent meal as most of the other places were way too touristy. The authenticity of the staff and owner definitely made sure this was not your generic cheap chain tourist trap restaurant.

“Our favourite from this visit”

If you want a restaurant with atmosphere this is the one .Lovely food in a very Italian setting .Good mixture of locals and tourists We shared an excellent pizza to start and then enjoyed Spaghetti Vongole .Both the liver and the pork were also excellent .House red and white wines complimented well .The staff were amongst the best we have come across and all this at superb value. A gem.

“Thank you for making dinner a special event!”

I’ve eaten here regularly for the past 10+ years. The garden setting immediately starts a very special evening. Everyone there seems to be there on purpose – this is a destination! The staff (my but they work fast and hard!) always have a minute to add that extra step: friendly service. The food? Wonderful, nicely prepared, beautifully presented, very fresh, ample portions, reasonably priced. You can always tell the tourists – they about fall off their chairs trying to see what everyone ordered. Makes you really happy when you hear “wish we ordered what he got!” My advice would be “come back tomorrow night and order it.”
